How to Submit

We welcome scholarly contributions from theologians and researchers in all areas of theology and religion. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review and are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software.

Author Guidelines

Language

AJOTRE uses English language for all of its articles. All manuscript submitted should meet English language standards. Authors from non-English speaking countries are advised to use professional English language editors before submitting their manuscripts.

Ethics

AJOTRE's ethical standards include:

  • Authors should ensure that papers submitted have not been published or are not under consideration for publication in another journal
  • All manuscripts are cross-checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software
  • Authors are required to ensure that their works do not violate copyright of any other party
Submission Specifications
  • Format: Times New Roman, 12 points, double space except for indented quotations and footnotes
  • Margins: Left-aligned must be one inch margin
  • Title: Authors are encouraged to limit their article titles to a maximum of 20 words

Article Requirements

Abstract

Should include 150-200 words that briefly summarizes the article's introduction, the problem, objective/aim, methods, findings, and recommendations. The abstract should also specify four to five key words.

Reference Style

The journal subscribes to Turabian style of referencing. All manuscript should use Kate L. Turabian, A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, 9th ed. (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2018).

Article Length
  • Long Articles: 5,000-10,000 words
  • Short Articles/Book Reviews: 2,000-3,000 words
Biblical and Ancient Languages

Authors are required to use Greek and Hebrew fonts rather than transliteration. Transliteration can be used only for ancient nonbiblical languages. If Hebrew (or Aramaic) text runs to more than one line in a quotation, it should be presented as indented text in fixed lines of no more than three-quarters of a full-line length.
